Now that spring is upon us it is time to get outside and look around and see what damage winter has done.
Do trees need to be trimmed or leaves need to raked?
Maybe your gutters or deck need to be cleaned.
Deck cleaning is some what misunderstood. How do I do it and what products should be used?
I feel the best way after years of experience is to use the power of water.
Going to the local big box and purchasing chemicals to spray on your deck does not clean very well and certainly is not the GREEN thing to.
The best way is to rent a power washer to wash to gunk away with clean nontoxic water.
A large power washer with about four thousand p.s.i. is required anything smaller will not do the job properly.

Wet Basements

Rain rain go away come back another day!
Do you have a wet basement with all of this rain?
The solution to solve your problem could be simple or complex.
So lets try simple!
Are your downspouts from your gutters dumping water next to your basement walls?
If so the downspouts should be extended at least ten feet away from the basement walls.
Are your gutters plugged up with leaves from the fall? They need to be clean for proper flow.
The grade around your home may also be the culprit. If your lots slopes towards your home water will enter your basement. The fix for this is easy, fill in the low areas.
The final easy solution is if you have a sump pump check to see if it is working. If it is working make certain that the water is being discharged at least ten feet away from the basement wall. I hope that I have helped you with problem.
